      If it's any consolation Tanquil, the same thing has happened to me. 
      Nowadays, I tend to write my posts on a text editor, save them  and then 
      cut & paste them here. 

      If it was your system that crashed, and you are using windows 95+, the 
      information may be on a file called file00001.chk or something like that 
      in the root directory of your computer. You can open it using notepad.
