Message: The Year The World got it wrong Author: Sacerdos Etruriae - Camitlnas Tullius, Patron Date: Jan 1, 2001 05:11 Best Wishes to the Etruria Group for the new Millennium. Some of us will sigh with relief that 2000 is over together with its Millennium hype. I winced when the spokesman at Greenwich on the TV news said (almost apologetically) - well technically speaking January 1 2001 is the beginning of the new Millennium. Well, technically speaking I have 10 fingers and ten toes, but then officially I have 19 according to the world media. Perhaps it's good that they got it all out of the way a year early. Incidentally the same mistake was made in the year 1000. Somehow I doubt if the Etruscans would have made the same mistake. Anyway after a year in which at least 4 people asked me to change it, I'm finally off to do a global search and replace on "this century" on my web pages :) Next: more madness ( maru menervas spures Ruma - Tanaquil Sergius ) Previous: A short note to all.
