      Of recent note are the several articles in the summer 1998 issue of 
      Archaeology Odyssey. This magazine is published by the same publishers of 
      Biblical Archaeology Review and Bible Review. I have noticed that is is 
      now carried on the stands at Barnes & Noble bookstores. An online version 
      of the magazine and its sister publications can be found at 
      www.bib-arch.org 
      Back issues can be ordered. 

      The second magazine of note is the current issue (Jan/Feb 1999) of 
      Minerva, also available at B & N and Borders. It has a very interesting 
      article on Etruscan coins, mostly from Populonia. In a related story on 
      the coin trade in the same issue, one of these coins was sold at auction 
      for SF81,000, or roughly $56,000. Guess that rules out any possibility of 
      me owning one in the near future.
